Broken_heart Error importing block 0x0000…: Block has an unknown parent

Running the executable binary files on Ubuntu. Ive been running the node for some time, but I have recently started to face this error. Could you please advise on how to resolve?

I saw there was a similar post here but this one seemed to vary slightly.

@liu-cheng could you advise on the cause and proper resolution for this issue? It looks to be some kind of verification issue.

There is a chance that the node somehow has some false data. I also saw the same error on my
end, restarting the node will probably fix it as the related data structure is only in memory.

Getting those as well - the broken hearts club. :wink: Wondering if I ought to do a wipe or…

If you just see it occasionally during sync then there is nothing to worry about, if the node is unable to sync and keeps throwing this error you may need to wipe/purge the farmer/node.

Thanks so much, restarted the nodes. Weird, as some of my nodes were throwing these errors and some weren’t - and all are basically the ‘same’ and such. Looking fine now though.

Hey, Looks like “purge-chain --chain gemini-1” doesn’t work well and folder ~/.local/share/subspace-node/chains/subspace_gemini_1a/paritydb needs to be deleted manually…
First time after deleting syncing looking well but then anyway Error importing block appers… :confused:

Yeah, looks like mostly same block is reported over and over again, not 100% sure what is wrong with that, but it must be a different issue in practice and should be harmless as far as I can say right now.

I think this will be improved in the future as well.
